Hipster nowadays become a trend in fashion and also in food. As we can see,more hipster cafe are establish with a unique of their cafe decoration and they also create a weird and creative taste and features of their food in order to attract the customer especially teenagers that are more related and influence to hipster trend. So,Blackwood Coffee & Chocolate are one of the hipster cafe that are located in Alor Setar,Kedah becomes our first choice.

BACKGROUND

Talk about its background,this cafe are establish on 20 September 2012 by Mr Low Kok Yu which is the founder of the Blackwood cafe. The first outlet are establish at Sungai Petani.Now,it has few branches at Perlis and Pulau Pinang.The idea of Blackwood was born when the owner felt that people are crave to cafe to experience a good cup of coffee with a pastry served with it. However,Mr Low Kok Yu felt that it is rarely to find a cafe that can serve a good coffee and food. So,that how owner and their team decided to open the cafe and use the finest freshest ingredients so that the customer will enjoy and satisfied with the food that being served and this cafe are located strategically which is behind Menara Alor Setar and near to the C-Mart supermarket.

We depart from Unitar at Alor Setar and arrive at 5.06 pm which only takes 15 minutes to arrive here.It such a lucky day for us because not many customer at that day because it already late evening and people are rushing back home from their workplace.

So,as we enter into the cafe,it feel so nice and comfortable plus their interior design are not too complicated so that it really a good choice for those who really enjoyed friendly and peaceful environment. Besides,their employee services are good and they not forget to greet the customer with their big smiles. So,that's why this cafe can attract more customers to come due to their good environment and friendly employees services other than their food factor.

Besides coffee as their main attraction here,they also provide a variety type of foods and drinks here like desserts,burgers,soup and salad for those who vegetarians. Their main course here are variety types of pizza,pasta,baked rice and what more special and unique are,they also provide an asian food like nasi lemak and nasi goreng. Their price range are from RM6 - RM60 so,we think that it is quite affordable and not too expensive.  
 According to the employees,the most popular item here are N.Z Lamb Shank (RM33) which is a stewed lamb shank from New Zealand that are served with mashed potato.The unique taste from the combination of the stewed lamb shank,the sauce and the mashed potato makes this serving as the most popular item from the customers.

Ok,back to us. After a few minutes waiting,we got our foods. Really can't wait to taste it. Just for information,the food here only will be cook when its been order so that the food more fresh and also tasty not like some cafe or restaurant that just heated up the food that already cooked. So,it is worth for waiting as we can get a fresh and also healthy food.

 After finish eating,the clock hit around 6.05PM,we decided to get to our second destination. Before that,we get an opportunity to take a picture with one of the employee here which is Mr Kamarudin as our precious moment here. As a review for this cafe,we actually have a good impression towards its and they actually accomplish their mission which is using a finest freshest ingredients in their food to serve their customers as we actually really satisfy with the taste of the food and also with their good customer services. We will come again next time☻☻.

In the future I will be major in Human Resources Management. RUMAH AOR

 Located about 10 minutes away from Blackwood Cafe, there is another hipster cafe called Rumah AOR. And this new trendy cafe in town has became our second destination.


BACKGROUND OF RUMAH AOR 
Operated since 15 Mac 2016,Rumah AOR is owned by Mohammad Fitri bin Hamza, aged 26 years old. He is a really energized young man who has dreams and still working hard to achieve them. We visited the cafe around 6:30PM, there was a few customers at this hour. We have a really good impression on Rumah AOR. Good vibes, spacious, creative in usig used-materials, the decoration is just superb. Also, there's a boutique upstairs, selling scarfs, shawls and t-shirts. We managed to take a look around and was impressed by the trending idea.💖 The cafe started to be more and more crowded after 7PM. We took a lot of photos there while waiting the owner to come over.

We rated 4.5/5.0 for the food.The taste of food is delicious and meet our taste buds. In addition, the most statisfying part is the customer sevices! We would rate 10 stars for the friendly and proffesional staffs.


INTERVIEW SESSION
After chit chatting for awhile, we decided to conduct an interview session with the customers and the owner. We have approached to the customers to ask about their satisfaction. It's great to say that we got 100% positive feedback from them yeahhhhhhhh😁😁😁😁

Before heading back, we got an opportunity to talk with the owner, Fitri. He is friendly and supportive boss. He told us that his main objective to open Rumah AOR is to create space where youngsters can come together, share ideas, get inspired, while enjoying good food, shopping and activities. We are really admire him for his passion and hard works. And most importantly, he had foot the bill for us which means we ate for free! Thanks again boss😜
